YOUR ROUND BELONGS TO YOU
Privacy, plainly.
Golfers, handicaps, rounds, and preferences are stored on your device. Easy-6-4-2 does not require an account and does not include advertising or tracking.
Policy updated October 22, 2026
1. What the app stores
The app saves golfer names, course handicaps (including remembered course-specific handicaps), course details, gross scores, round snapshots, completed-round history, and settings in local storage on your iPhone. It does not upload this information to an app-operated server. We do not have remote access to your saved rounds.
Device backups and device-to-device transfers may be handled by Apple according to your device settings. The app does not provide its own cloud sync or multi-device account.
2. Optional online course search
When you choose Search Online, the app sends your search text to OpenGolfAPI. Choosing a result sends that course’s identifier to retrieve its hole information. These requests use the internet; the service may receive normal connection information, such as your IP address.
The app does not send golfer names, handicaps, or round scores with these requests and does not request your location. You can add courses manually without using online search. Saved courses are available offline.
Course data is provided through OpenGolfAPI, with © OpenStreetMap contributors under ODbL 1.0. Third-party services handle requests under their own policies.
3. Photos permission and sharing
Saving a completed scorecard to Photos requests add-only Photos permission when you tap the save action. The app adds the generated scorecard image; it does not read existing photos or browse your library. You can decline or change this permission in iPhone Settings.
An exported scorecard can include golfer names, handicaps, scores, course details, and points. If you share it from Photos, you choose the recipients and the service. Exported images remain in Photos after you remove a round from the app.
4. Celebration videos
Celebration videos are bundled with the app and play offline. No streaming account is required. You can turn automatic celebration videos off in Settings.
5. This website
This marketing website does not include analytics, advertising pixels, third-party embeds, or an email-collection form. Site files are served by our hosting provider, which may process routine technical information needed to deliver pages, protect the service, or maintain operational logs. We do not use those logs to build advertising profiles.
Links to other sites, including the App Store, OpenGolfAPI, OpenStreetMap, and Superapp, take you to services with their own privacy practices.
6. Your choices and deleting data
You can delete completed rounds from History, remove golfers from Manage Roster, and remove saved courses from Manage Courses. Deleting a reusable golfer or course does not rewrite existing round snapshots, which can still contain their saved details. Delete the relevant completed rounds as well if you want to remove those historical details.
Uninstalling the app removes its local app data from the device. Photos exports and any backups managed by your operating system are separate. For those, use the controls provided by Photos or Apple.
7. Questions and updates
See our support page for help and contact availability. The support email is being finalized before public launch. This policy will be updated if the app’s data practices change.
